    Exclamation mini spool

    Hey
I killed my spider gears yesterday - they are in peices.
This is the second time it has happened!
Is there any availiable mini spool for my car?
    Its a VC 4 speed manual, 202, non-LSD.
    Cheers

Ur VC would more then likely have a Salisbury 8 bolt...the Torries all have Banjo's I think, not 100% sure tho, and also the VL-VS diffs are Borg Warners.

I've never looked into a spool so not sure wat they're available for. When I blew the first diff in my VH I did the same as you, the pin snapped and the spider gears were both in half...I bought a VK wreck for $100 and used the Salisbury out of that...then a few months later I blew that one as well, same again the pin broke and the spider gears were in half. So I got hold of a Borg Warner diff out of a VL, and a VK EFI 202 tailshaft (they had Borg Warners), put the diff under, and bolted the rear of the VK EFI tailshaft up to the front of my 5spd tailshaft them put it in the car and it worked good. Only ever did one skid in it then it got defected...so not sure how better they are, but apparently they're stronger then the Salisbury's.

So wat I'm tryin to say is.....pull the diff out, put a Borg Warner in ......or if u need the car ASAP just weld it up until u find a replacement,

I know that they all have different diffs VHPirie i was just pointing out that a lot of people have them in different cars so i'd say that there would be one available

the 2 spider salisbury diffs were a little weak. i wouldn't recommend a minispool for road use, better of getting an LSD. i'd recommned fitting a VK/VL series borgwarner diff. lots a parts avail for the borwarner diffs also incuding spools if you wanna go that way
