Well we got a blue 253 to chuck in our SKiDWAGON for the next comp (Roadster prolly won't be ready). We got the motor given to us so not sure how good it is or anything. But apparently it does go.
For now I just have a few questions about the distributor.
It came without the rotor arm and cap. We were told that ya can buy an aftermarket plastic piece to go around the bottom which makes it a bit smaller. Apparently the big caps cost about $40 each, but the smaller ones are about $10 so changing the base to allow us to use the smaller cap would be wise...is that right?
We were also told that an XD rotor arm fits them, and possibly a Holden 6...does anyone know if that's correct? I'm not sure why he told us that tho coz I rekon they're only a few dollars to buy new anyways.
Anyone know if the 253's do good skids? All we wanna do is start it on the spot for about 3-5 seconds max to build the revs, then slowly creep out onto the pad and start going around....are they good at keeping revs in these sort of situations?
Cheers.

253's do good skids, mine will skid just flooring from a standing start they have real good low down torque.
in other words you shouldn't have a problem with that!
We got rep back, yaaay!
