VK Calais Questions

Have a few questions about VK Calais's, did all of them come out with electric windows? One I'm looking at doesn't, but it has all other Calais features.. Also, whats the deal with the electric dashes, are problems with them fixable? This one, when gettin up to high revs it will cut out, then when in the next gear will come back on again.

the digital dashes are fixable for most part, would prob cost around $250 depending what they find, they can do em in the car or you can give em the dash normally. Dont know who you'd get to do it in Adelaide, try ringing VDO first and see if they can help you or point you in the right direction. I think there were a few VK calais that didnt have the electric windows but not too many.

yes VK Calais were standard with power windows, however they could be optioned 'off' I have seen a couple like this.

Dash problems are usually at the sender/sensor rather than at the dash, in my experience.

Check the compliance plate if your not sure its a real Calais, the 'Model' code should start with a 3 after the dash - for Calais. IE a Calais with a 6 & auto should read 'xxxxxxx - 323' a 5l Calais would have '333'

gaugeworks on port road will be fixing my dash within the next month
around $220 they quoted me with 6mth warranty..all mine does is disappear every now and then

Could be a faulty rheoset how ever you spell it thing. It's a variable resistor and they are all stuffed.
