hey all havnt bin on ere in a while, gotta few questions tho relating and EFI Black 202.
1. where the hell is the oil pressure sender thingy located to on the block? (i checked me workshop manual but couldnt seem to find it)
2. which is better, mechanical oil psi guage or the electrical ones?
3. should i use the standard sender unit thingy for an after market guage? (if i chose to go electrical)
cheers heaps , hope someone can help me
Whats wrong with the standard gauge?
The oil sender unit is located just above the oil pump. Bolts into the block and looks like a small tin can. I've updated my sl to sle dash and used the vk sender unit the gauge works fine.

I used to get a brass T-piece and run both the gauge sender and the warning light sender...
you can't have any pressurised flammables in the cabin so you use electric gauges, mechanical often sit on the out side on the bonnet
hey pub where did you end up getting you oil pressure sender unit from? i never got around to getting the oil pressure gauge working it just sits there on full all the time... maybe just hit up the local commodore wreckers?
Achin' for a v8 wagon people click me!
Yep thats it yobbo go to the wreckers and ask for a vk/black motor one there a lot bigger than the vh (low pressure light) ones then run a wire from the sender unit to the back of the dash
