    Question brock heads

    Hey guys

My mate has a vk 5.0 he bought the car years ago but said the previous owner told him it had brock heads. Is there any difference and how can he identify if they are?

    Thanks

No the B is cast into the end of the heads, it will be a rough B cast too.

The "B" will look like a weld bead on the end of the head, SL/E NUt is correct.

i didn't think all Brock heads are "B" cast??

i've matched mine to some standard "big valve" heads i had off my old VL and the port size is huge compared to standard but both had the same size valves.

Heres some B cast heads. B cast heads were cast differently to standard heads and will have a B cast into them.
See attached some images of what a B cast head will look like

    cheers

No 1/4 times yet, the car has lived in the shed since the build with only 170km done. Those kms were done driving it to and from wheel aligners & auto engineer to have it engineered. I hope to have it on rego soon just been too busy to do anything with the car.

The engine isnt stock it has had a full rebuild, balence & blueprint. It is only a mild rebuild nothing too crazy I didnt want to loose street drivability.

    cheers
    Scott
