    Default torque settings?

    hi there just wondering waht the torque setting for the rocker arms on a black 202 if any body can help that would be great

    Its meant to be 32nm but i found another place that said 34nm i used 34 and havent had a problem. It was quite funny cause we snapped a pivot bolt at 32nm must have be a weak one.

    The official word from holden is 30-38Nm of torque. Its a pretty board tollerence.

    haha well on the SKiDWAGON we just used a ratchet and did them as tight as we thought was good lol......we thrashed the guts out of it on the pad with no probs at all.......might have to invest in a torque wrench I rekon haha

    oh yea sweet. yer thats y i need the torque setting cause my mate tightened them and broke 2 so i had to fix them for him lol haha cheers for that guys

    just be very careful and smooth in your torquing action with the wrench, even taking care i managed to stretch 4 of the suckers and the only thing that stopped me snapping them was that I knew that they shouldve reached torque but didnt, so I backed em off and had a look at them and it was quite obvious that the bolts had stretched and were just about to let go.

    yer tru i went and brought a complete new set of bolts the were 5/16 unc just incase anyone was wondering
