    Hey all...
Post whether you have a 6 or an 8 Fuel tank size & how many km's you get per tank of fuel & what octane you run..

    Cheers
    MaT

P.S- Will be posting in all sections to try to get ideas of fuel economies per model.

    I have worse economy than a v8

Vk Sl 3.3 carby 202 auto
60lt tank?(ive actually never filled it right up)
    350km around town on 95octane

I haven't done a long trip on the freeway before. I wouldn't expect the economy would be much better than 400km caus of the ****ty 3 speed and diff ratio.

VK Speedway car - EFI 202, Traumatic: 25L, ~30km <==== Eat that you non-top fuellers.

No, I'm not kidding. My ~50L tank gets half drained in a meeting.

2nd gear full noise ALL of the time tends to chew the fuel. Yeah I have a really good cooling system in it.

    V8 308ci, 91 unleaded, stock motor, 290,000K I thought the VB-VK had 68 litre tanks?
I get about 350 km out of mine. 60 litres of LPG I get around 250 km.

My Old 202 going hard used to chew through 80L of fuel in 350km
Driving it easy as much as i could around town about 450 mark.

Out on the highway I used to get 700km out of a tank.

Now with the 5L I havent driven it enough to get a descent reading

    cheers
    Scott

Im looking at a vh 4.2 4spd today, the old fella who owns it claims he get 24mpg with a best of 26-28mpg.
I think that around 11-12L/100, so im guessing about somewhere in the 500km mark.

Previous commodore i owned for 3yrs was a VZ 5.7 6spd executive optioned up.
I fitted SS ind airbox, holden fitted hsv exhuast on rear half and thats the extent of work done to it. Changed the 3.46 diff to lsd.

Regular trips from central coast to perisher would get 650 not a prob. Plenty of times trip showed 440k travelled with 665 to empty. I took a pic of the dash while i was driving cause i couldnt believe it! Around town was nothing under 500.

For economy its was the biggest & cheapest 8 to run i had owned.
