installing sle dome light into slx

anyone help me with installation of a sle dome light into my slx sedan.got it of ebay but not sure if wires etc are all there.anyone help? cheers.

What do you mean "the wires etc are all there"?. This light is wired up differently to the original VB-VL ones. The SL/E dome lights are part of the rear pillar lights as well.
However you can wire it up with the original VB-VL interior lamps.

If your talking the centre interior light its a headlining out job to change the complete wiring the connector is just behind the drivers seatbelt spool. The wiring is secured with metal clips and between sound proofing and the roof. Its easier just to join the 2 wires at the light end.

The rear has a plug in the bottom of the C pillar, then the wiring runs up the drivers side C pillar then allong the roof above the rear screen held in place my metal tags to the passengers side. again to do it as original its a headlining out job.

yeah i just had a standard dome light and want to wire up the sle one but what wire goes where?there must b an easier way then going with vkberlinas idea!dnt know much bout electrics so any help is heaps!cheers.i know which one is power in the roof so the one next to it is earth right?how do i connect the dome light to these?only got 1 wire comming out of the dome light.is there something missing from the dome light at all?
