Petrol spitting out of the exhaust

ok guys my vc has been unregistered for 3 months now and i run it every week but now and then it spits out pettie through the exhaust ( including today ) so what could it be?

its idling nicely ( 800rpm ) but it does smell like its running a bit rich.

It does sound like it's running far too rich. Does it blow black smoke?

nope just has petrol coming out, would the battery being near flat make much of a difference ( takes a lot to start atm )

For petrol to come out of the tail pipe, it would have to be pumping a heap of petrol into the exhaust. It's probably just water mixed with all the carbon in the exhaust. Catch a little bit in a tin and see if it ignites when you drop a match in it.
You need to take it for a good run to get all the water out, the would be a lot of condensation in there.

well it has been raining a heap in sa atm so ill give it a go and come back with what i got, your a champ naaf.

absolute legend! it was just condensation, didn't light up and after a few good stabs of the acclerator it went away! cheers dude, i gave you some rep as well!
