    Default timing

    hi has anyone herd of a timing gear striping or jumping a notch

    yes you talking camshaft timing gear i presume the fibre ones were notorious for it ive allway upraded to the alloy version which is supposed to make a lot more noise but you dont really notice it and the dizzy is the same there is a replacement gear made of harder material

    yep my mates 4 banger vc did it. you can replace em with a metal one outa the older cars. like a hq. they wont strip on you.
    the germans designed it, the aussies built it, the japs got it moving and the wogs got it dosing...

    Ya can get a set of alloy ones for under $50 from Repco....that's wat I first got for mine....but took them back and got a set of JP straight cuts instead (I know a lot of people don't like straight cuts, but I wanna experience them and see how I like them....so thought I'd do it now :P)
