    Default Filter options for My 5.0L

    hows it goin everyone, just a quick question
    i have a 5.0l out of a vs in my VH but i dont have a filter because i dont know whether to fit in the standard box or go after market. Does anybody have any pics of some options or ideas that would be great. Thanks.

    personally i'd look at an airbox and fitting some sort of cold air intake. Mainly due to the fact its more legal than having a pod and better than a pod breathing hot engine air. If your not to concerned about possible defect and want something that looks good. Move the battery to the boot and with some polished pipe run it down through the guard and have a pod on the end of it.

    I had the same problem when i put a V6 in my VK.

    Ended up mounting the battery (a short one) on the other side, and using a factory airbox setup. not pics tho sorry.

    my battery is currently in the boot, not really worried about the defect side of things, but you have a point with the hot air. its just i hate that ugly big box. tryin to keep a clean look in the bay thats why im tryin to find options around pods and bolt on filters.

    There is a guy on here that has a neat setup on his EFI VK which is like im talking about but i think his thread was lost in the crash i'll see if i can find a pic similar to what im talking about

    i got a k&n filter which i dont mind, its about 20-30mm short off the throttle body, im thinkin just gettin sum pipe and join it up.
    do u think intercooler pipe is the go? that flexi stuff?

    I have the battery re-located to the other side, the airbox is standard VN. I wouldn't recommend fitting a pod filter for the simple reason that they sound ****.
