speedo problem

gday, iv got a v8 with aussie 4 speed and a 2.6:1 diff ratio out of an auto car. it should have a 3.08:1 behind it, hence my speedo problem. if i take the driven speedo gear out of my auto box will it go straight into the 4 speed and fix my problems?

It will fit no worries, but the ratio will probably be wrong. Heres a chart from vkberlina's website that you can use to work out which gear you need.
