what v8 to put in my vk

iv got vk free off a mate of mine and wld like to ptu a v8 in it as it has no rust and and i would like to get power out of it at least more than 300 rwhp 308 350 400 ?

304's are beginning to be a popular choice ( inj 5.0L, i got 2 mates both with VK inj 5.0L's ) because they are quite cheap to get, relativly easy to put in and the are good motors to work on.
