Hi,
I found this model car amongst a box of toys from my youth and wondered how rare it is and how much it is worth?
It is around 20 years old.
It is a model of the Mobil 05 1985 HDT VK Commodore.
I have recently listed it on ebay as PETER BROCK Diecast Model Car 05 Holden VK Commodore and it seems to be generating quite a bit of interest.
The base of the car has no info whatsoever. I assume it is a 1/18th scale model as it measures 22cm long. I've never seen one before and I'm wondering if it may have been a promo only item from Holden.
Interested to see if anybody else has one?
At a guess, its made by Dinkum models. They are rare now, cause they no longer operate.
I have seen a few of these models, as well as other HDT race/road cars.

A lucky owner of 2 SL/E Commodores, a rare VB SL/E and a 2 tone VC SL/E. Just need a VH SL/E and have the set!
i was in a model shop in clarence street in sydney a couple of weeks ago. they had quite a few older model cars like urs, 1:43 scale tho. they looked very poorly designed compared to the 1s made now. he had several in there. 1 that i remember tho was a 1:43 scale vl walky, it had $220 on it by memory. i couldnt believe it. the model looked like crap.
