You need to mount them on spacers or into pods as the window hits them in the front doors.

A popular way of mounting 6" front speakers is to mount them in VR/VS door pods also, the plasic also paints well if your intewrior isnt grey

    cheers

There's always an exception to every rule: I installed 6" 2-way Pioneer speakers into my VC in 1998 without modifications. Clearance was fine at the lower front. But, newer speakers may vary in depth dimensions and give you clearance problems. Kustom VC, I'd suggest you follow Scott's suggestion, they look really good.

    Question VC front speakers.

    Thanks for the advice.
Does anyone know of any websites that have pictures of the speakers once installed/during installation?
