VK - Police Chaser Rim Size?

I want to fit some Police chaser rims to my VK and want to know the dimensions and offset I should be looking for to suit? (from memory it was something like 15 x 6.0J 43P) Thanks Chaps

Thanks, it was my understanding that the IRS models had different rim offsets (24P comes to mind), I recall once being told that the different offset would change the geometry of the suspension and make the car 'sit proud'.

What was the width for VK, 6 inch? Should 7 inch be considered?

The car is shod with 205/65 r15 at the moment.

I had 15" x 6" silver wheels on my old VH. they were 43P offset and fitted fine with 215 x 60 tyres.

Ive had 15x6, 15x7, & 16x7's all on my Calais & all fitted. The 15x7s (with 225x60x15 tyres) used to scrape a little under load with the super low springs in but other than that no problems.

VK Interceptors tyres were Goodyear NCT's ! 215/60/14 from memory. profile may be wrong,can't quite remember.

I thought they were 15 inch from memory? I remember that 15inch tires were so expensive in '84.

Only the VE came out with these. But, the AWD one tonner(R.I.P) had 16X7 Chasher look rim.

Rumour has it that the offset of these is up sh!t creek for fitting to a commodore :S ... but that's only a rumor - if someone could confirm that'd be great.

Nope VK's 14", VL's went 15" with the bigger calipers.

Hi all i found out VE coms do fit ( chasers ) as of off set not sure and are 16x7s. The stud patten is the same .

Mine arent the VE ones, they are the adventurer ones, as far as I was aware without modifications the VE wouldnt fit properly & therefore not safe/illegal?
