In need of knowledge

G'Day all.

I've just been given a VB that is weathered and needs a degease but is as stock as a rock.
I need to know what I can do to the engine (202 red with Air Con) that won't get me shot by the minister of war and finance for spending too much, yet will give the car a bit of toe when I put the foot down.
Any input or advice would go a long way.

VH or VK efi distributor, extractors, exhaust, inlet manifold and carby upgrade should get you going :P

start with extractors, VH blue HEI electronic dizzy you can pick em both up cheap from the wreckers, then spend money on getting a webber or holley tuned properly on it, i hear the webbers from XD-XE? series falcons make a good conversion. look elsewhere on the forums about it.
