Default VN 4 speed auto in a VB

what do i need to place a VN 4 speed auto transmission into my 253 red V8? also would it work? cause the trimatic gearbox im using at the moment is pure rubbish.

or is there a way to get the most out of my trimatic? with only 3 gears fuel economy is not great, low down its sluggish and overtaking is very hard cause the kickback doesnt really go anywhere, just peaks out in 2nd.

Their different patterns, turbo and trimatic. You can get an adapter plate, but i have heard alot of bad comments about these.

You could get your trimatic beefed up, but doesnt fix your gear problem, you could look at electronic overdrive. I would use the converter, i cant remember what the problem was, but i remember their were a few people who had problems. Also you could get your block redrilled to turbo pattern, i no you can get it drilled one way but not the other, but im pretty sure you can get it drilled from tri to turbo.

Their different patterns, for the bell housing, and arnt interchangeable. Pretty much the tri pattern is a holden pattern, and the turbo pattern is a chev pattern and is now used.
Ill get some pics in a sec.
