Im considering a larger alloy fuel cell in the boot and getting rid of the existing tank, just a thought,it will be about 400 bucks for the fuel cell if ya hunt a bit.

some models had larger tanks for the V8's. if memory serves me correct any tank upto a VS should go straight into yours, justa matter of searching the wreckers for the size you want really

Yes that is true, but their EFI tanks. their different. Theirs a return line, the filler neck is different, the biggest problem would be the pump. But anything up to VS should bolt in fine aslong as you grab the saddles aswell. My brother has 110 litre drop tank in his Vn (not for sale) and he seems to break fuel pumps quicker because theirs running dry more often, because he cant afford to fill 110 litres lol so the pumps never fully submerged.

Look out on ebay, quite often drop tanks come out, their normally 90-100 litres, but go for around 300-400 dollar mark, their normally for brock VK's but will fit straight into a VH.

if oyu get a droptank, make sure it has internal baffles to help prevent fuel surge uncovering the pickup when the tank is heading towards the empty line on the gauge

Was on the car when he bought it, no point in changing it, my brothers a lazy **** so id probly have to change it anyway lol. But it does come in handy, he got from sale to sydney and half way back without having to fill up once, and he didnt even fill the tank before he left, just 3/4 full.
