You need a steering wheel puller.
Though, i went threw 3 pullers, the 3rd one i beefed right up as best i could and it stilll snapped, ended up getting an agro mate who had a few cougars to try and get it off, he got their, was the funniest thing ive even seen, but mine was stuck really good, took heaps to get it off.

You will just have to be persistant, I bent the crap out of one puller so bad getting my VKC wheel off, but please dont hit the bolt with a hammer, I know its tempting, but you will stuff the column.

Try using some WD maybe? I just kept at it & eventually it came off, try smacking either side of the wheel with an open palm to give it some movement.

The easiest way is levering the wheel (hand on top, hand on bottom) and pull opposite each time.

My VKs wheel had never been off, and it took a while to lever in the right spot, but its easy enough. I don't even bother with a puller since my mate showed me this way.

Just keep in mind you'll make yourself an indent in your head if you pull too hard, and it suddenly comes off, so sit abit off centre when you do it.

As Norti said NEVER his the steering column, it will collapse

We normally use a puller.....got a $15 one from Repco which hasn't let us down yet.

The other day we were at a wreckers getting a dashboard out of a VL. Forgot the puller, but it finally come off when my bro was pulling on the steering wheel, while I gave it a few light taps with a hammer on the nut. They were only light taps too, just enough to send a shock through the column so it would come free. Personally I didn't know hitting them hard isn't a good thing to do lol.

on this point, if you do take the pull by hand method, pop the nut back on a couple of turns, that way when the wheel comes flying at your face, it cant make contact
