Would anyone know if those vortech superchargers suited to carby engines, would bolt onto a holden engine? it says their for chev small blocks but i cant seem to find any info on wether it would bolt onto my engine......
cheers for ya help
anything is possable.
they put carby covers and differant carbys on. the carby covers are air tight. they make kits for 351s and chevs your best bet is to get on the phone or email.
is the 355 carby fed? i don't think it would simply bolt on but i guess with a bit of effort it could be adapted

yea fellas its carby fed. there is actually a setup for the carby engine. a casing just bolts onto the manifold and covers the carby makes it air tight, then ya have the basic vortech charger. the ones i have seen for sale around have been for chev small blocks runnin carby setup. i just don't know wether they would suit a holden engine thats all. thanks for ua help neways guys
give scotty at capa a ring and ahve a talk to him, pretty sure they do blow thru carby setups
All parts are interchangeable, its just a matter of getting the correct bracket and crank pulley to suit your desired engine. In your case the "chev small block kit" would bolt onto a holden motor if you binned the mounting bracket and crank pulley and bought a holden v8 bracket and crank pulley. Pretty straight forward, expensive modification but. To supercharge a carby v8 you are looking at 5k+
*edit*
Just on a side note, the power steering and alternator have to be swapped around as the bracket doesn't clear a passenger side power steering setup, there is a lot of fiddling around, turbo'ing is an easier proposition.![]()
