problems with my vh sl

i have just bought a vh sl and it is smoking a bit a coughs a bit it seems that the valve seats are stuffed it has also lost some power any suggestions on what it might be and how to fix it?

get a/do a compression test. if its blowing smoke and down on power you're probably up for a rebuild/new engine. how much oil does it use??
