hi all the wipers in my wagon are annoying me they work on the slowest speed but dont work on the second speed , does anyone have any ideas as to why this would be ? i was just gonna throw a new indicator stork in but i thought i would check on here before i start spending money. any help would be greatl appreciated
Haven't played with a VH one, but the VL's use a module to determine the wiper speed. It just sends out a pulse to the wiper motor, and changing the speed just decreases the wait in between the pulses. It could be the indicator stalk, a dodgy wire, or the module if it uses one. If no one else can help, I'll look through the old wiring in my VK and see how that one works, coz they use the same setup, well I'm 99% sure anyways.

ok cool thanks alot for your help ive been playin around with it and i had a spare indicator stork lyin around so i hooked it up and it did the same thing i also hooked up another wiper motor and again no second speed so i am thinking it might be a dodgy wire or like u said the module if it has one but if it is a dodgy wire does anyone know the colour of the wire that the switch uses for the second speed ?
does anyone have a wiring diagram for the vh wiper system i need to get the second speed working as im going to be getting a roadworthy soon and i reckon they will bag that so any help would be greatly appreciated
Here's a basic diagram...
After playing with the VL indicator stalk, I know that it completes the negative side of the circuit on watever it's for. Also the diagram above says it's for VB-VH, but the wiper dwell come out in the VK, so not sure wat's the go there.
I haven't had much spare time lately coz I've been busy with my VK wagz, so haven't had a look how the setup works in a VH.

thanks heaps for that now i just need to figure out how to read it lol its cool i will just trace all the wires and i reckon i will find a broken one somewhere also u wouldnt happen to have a picture or a diagram of what fuses and relays are what in a vh wagon the fuses are under the dash but i dont have a cover for it so i dont know what is what thanks again for all ur help
Here's a diagram for the fuse box. This one is actually for a VC, but should be pretty much the same through to VH. I haven't got a VH book on my computer, so hopefully this will do. If someone knows whether it's different or not, let me know and I'll dig out one of my VH manuals and scan up the diagram.
