    Default 202 carb heat

I have headers on a 202 still with the varijet carb which has been overhauled two years back, it is gutless/dull and has a flat spot just of idle. the carb experts said these problems are caused by the removal of the standard exhaust manifold with carb heat provisions,
My question is can we get an average running machine till we take the weber option which is planed for winter?

G`day BOB you could try getting some cold air to it,a pipe running from front of your car,if you look at i think vk they had a box that came from front of theleft hand grill for cold air to cabby ,that may help other wise look for bakerlite spacer ,that dox pipe?run along chassis rail ,under battery box ,gold luck ,cheer`s chuckie.

The carbs guys reckon there is not enough heat, not enough vapourisation etc,
There are plenty of 202s out there with headers/varijet so how have other people got around this?

The varajets are a real pain to tune. I suggest finding an old school mechanic that has experience with varajets.
