getting rid of emissions gear on a black carby 202
at this stage, the car is a trailer queen. while rego would be nice, i want to have fun now.
i want to get rid of that air blower thing that pumps air into the ports. i'm guessing i can't just pull the tubes out, as then there would be a leak. what can i use to plug them, but so it can be hooked up later for rego.

no, my bank account is small, and there is no point ringing the motor vehicle registry if the car ISN'T GOING TO BE REGISTERED FOR A WHILE AND WILL BE RETURNED TO STOCK WHEN IT IS
i better tell the guys that i know with track only cars that they better start saving for the fines.
sorry for shouting, but i mentioned twice that it isn't registered.

There are proper tapered allen key bolts that are for blocking them off, i got some off a VH at the wreckers, if your lucky you mite find some. and if they exist then you mite be able to hit autopro up or something about them but cant imagine they would be very cheap.

You won't gain any performance by removing the air injection system. The best bet is to cut the butterfly valve out of the exhaust manifold and disconnect the EGR valve.

I want to get rid of the exhaust manifold as well The extractors are sitting on the roof ready to go on.
The air pump isn't hooked up so it isn't doing anything anyway.

The pollution gear is goneskis. I took the spare blower tubing thingy that i had into a bolt shop and got 6 bolts. The workshop that was fixing my steering rack put them in while it was there, and also put on the extractors, a spare intake i had which was a bit cleaner and tidied up all the vacuum lines.
Ran it at the drags on friday night and got an 18.3@70.09 but was backing off to protect my dial in. still broke out though. should be good for low 18s or maybe even a 17 with some adjustments.
