    Not factory at all. Dealer fitted, could be. But never ever left the Holden factory with a turbo 6.

    I heard that some early commodores were fitted with turbos in small limited numbers. But that has a high mount and a garret t4????? I dont think them parts would be factory.

    looks right but it wouldnt be a t4 they were t3's i think. The manifold looks to be the garret strata one

    Prototype, yes but never sold to the public. This happened way back in the HZ Kingswood era

    I heard that these cars were produced with the turbo but only a couple of hundred. Thats just what i heard.

    ok i can tell you what i know about the VB turbo , it was releced by suttens in sydney, there was only 5 made they ran a garret t4 turbo and a 2.78 diff ratio could do just over 100kmph after we changed the gearbox to a m21 in first and a top speed of well over 240kmph. the main problem was a single su carby set up wich ment fuel would evaperate through the turbo when it was hot as there was no intercooler between the turbo and the engine. it ran a compresion plate between two head gasgets to lower compreshion which would blow out the head gasket at high psi (18+psi). my dad had this car he spent a lot to get it to go hard , it put out 470 hp when he finished and would do the quater in 11 seconds. i bought the car from him, finaly somone crashed into it and it was gone but i still remember the sound of that tubo and the gforce it threw you into the seat with.

    yeah not sure about cdt, the one i had came with a custom bonnet scoup a turbo badge between the tail lights a little like the black peice between the lights on a vk but this was a reflective red with the big words saying turbo ( the only peice of the car i have left ) it also had a electric sunroof, yellow light burgular alarm and the inside trim looked more like a sle then a stock vb. if anyone has questions on this car im more then happy to help.
