    Default 82 vh 3.3L cheap mods

    Hi all,

    I'm driving a 1982 VH SL and would like to know if theres any way of getting some more power out of the car cheaply as funds are tight at this moment, also im looking for a rear quarter vent as it was stolen only a week after i brought the car i've heard the name rare spares mentioned on here before should i check them out or is there another place to get parts like that as the wrecker around my area don't have any

    I would try ebay for the vents, i sold a couple of sets there a while back,
    As for cheap mods, can't go past a set of 2nd hand extractors and a less restrictive exhaust, and with those get a higher flowing air cleaner. wont be beating ferarri's or anything but you will notice a difference

    thanks and yea at the moment im not looking for all that much power, just small little things to get it going a lot easier especially up steep hills with load,

    Do a search this is covered over and over.
    Basically....
    Extractors in to 2 1/4inch exhaust, no bigger or you will lose back pressure and torque
    34 ADM weber Carby (off a XE or XF Falcon, preferablt XE)
    Theirs more but ive forgotten lol.
    If you want to open it up, then look at a Yella Terra head.

    thanks for that, should be able to get those fairly easily.

    had a look on ebay and could not find the vents i googled VH rear quarter vent and came up with nothing any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Just gotta keep checking ebay daily until you find what you're after. i had to wait a while for the right tan berlina door trims for my vl but i got em eventually for $35 pickup in mint condition lol
