vk calais stops running when using headlights

i am having trouble with my vk calais 85 efi 6cyl.
everytime i use my headlights the car stops running within 10mins.
i can be driving and the dashlights go then acceleration stops and she just stalls while driving.its becoming really dangerous.
i have had a new alternator,battery and battery wiring done,but its still happening.any suggestions it is costing me a fortune with all the towing fees.

are you using the recommended globes in your headlights? higher powered ones tend to cook the fuserail and cause lots of problems. Is there any moisture in your headlights? auto elec will be able to sort it out fairly quickly if these 2 things are ok. sorry can't be more help i never worked on any of those efi 202, but had a similar issue in my vl with the highbeams making the car electrically dead (one of my headlights was taking water, replaced whole light and fixed it)

faulty wiring perhaps? maybee the head light switch wires are shorting after a bit and killing the car? used to do it with my old CD player(which i didnt hook up properly)

Clean all earth points up, might help out.
