damn a 4cyl VK royale. haven't seen one of those in years. yep, a complete swap of the running gear would be easiest. ditch the rear diff as it's weak. try to get a borgwarner diff for it there are more parts avalaible for it and more ratio's to choose from. any 6 cyl subframe will do as it's the same as the V8 models. your easiest bet would be to get the entire K frame/struts etc from a 6 cyl model as these have the larger stud pattern your after. the borg warner diff uses a flange arrangement with the driveshaft but as mentioned above, you can mix and match front and rear halves to suit your setup.
where abouts in auckland are you, if your on the south side try sayers auto spares, they specialise in early model commodores or just watch the T&E and trademe for the parts you require
