Opening Glovebox

Hi guys,
My brother recently bought a VK and he cant open the glove box lock, the key turns it and their is a little bit of tension but it doesnt open. How can we open it with little damage? but even if i have to wreck it i think i have another one somewhere.

well if you have a spare one use a flat head screwdriver

drill out the lock barrel (Its only aluminium) and fit another one from pickapart, take your key and find one that works, pretty simple.
