Sounds like you have a dead plug or lead. Change them.

now i had this problem a few weeks ago and im still trying to sort it out. I had 3 dead pots and changing the plugs and leads done nothing. I had spark and so on. It had done the head gasket and when i took the engine apart i had a bent pushrod and all the lifters were shagged out. I cant say if its fixed cause im trying to get it to start (damn timing). But check spark first before all this.

As the others have said start with the plugs.
First check their firing out of the cylinder, if they are then swap them around (into different cylinders) and retest. Some plugs have trouble firing under pressure, so eliminate this aswell. Swap leads around and see if you can eliminate them. if its always the same cylinder/s then, id be getting a compression tester and checking their compression. If they have good compression then id be checking the dizzy as it may be at fault. If they have low compression it will be the rings or headgasket, could be a few other things such as valves, cracked head etc, but most likely just a cracked headgasket. HTH
