Back in 1987 or 1988 I was cleaning out the storeroom at a Holden Dealer I was working at.
I found this VK Compliance Plate in an old DMT (RTA) envelope dated 1985 that had a letter requesting it to be fitted to a car and thought it strange as it was a Calais with an M21.
Over the last 20 years I've lost the letter but luckily still have the tag in mint condition.
Model: - VK8VX19 - VK Calais(VX) Sedan(19) but what does the 334 refer too???
Body No. - 155961-A - ???
Trim - 3038-23Y - ???
Paint - 1J 052-D - ???
Built - FEB 85 - I can work this out ... thanks
Eng: - LV2 (The 4.9ltr was only fitted after June 1985, yet the tag says Feb 85.)
Trans: - M21 - 4 speed manual box.
Axle: - GU4 - Salisbury Diff.
Can anyone please give me any info on the other codes.
And does anyone know if this is a HDT tag?
The 334 is the Pack option for Calais (the first number 3) engine/transmission combo.
The 155961-A is the serial number for the car built in Adelaide (A)

Thats not a HDT tag, thats just a rare factory manual V8 VK Calais build plate.

Its worth didly squat, you can't put this onto a car. Also, its not for a Calais Director manual. Yes, they had the same build plate but standard 334 pack VK Calais had them as well.
