swapping over to the electronic dash..

hey guys, i think i can my hands on an electronic dash for my VK,


just wondering before i fork out for it..

i have a VK Berlina wagon, EFI 6. should it hook up already? or am i likely to need to mess around with it heaps to get it to work??

I asked this question a year or so ago.....the short answer is NO coz apparently there's HEAPS of wires which you'd need to add to ur car, plus a few other bits and pieces (like a speedo transducer and sumfin for the petrol tank)......and I'm talking like 100+ wires need to be either put in or tampered with.

The guy that told me had done it himself and said it was a massive job.

Ad Danny said, its a massive job, also requires a new speedo cable and sensors which are rare as hens teeth, had a friend looking for speedo parts for a couple of months with no luck.
Also the Leccy dash is very unreliable, just stick with the original.

ah ok, i was hoping the EFI motor would have most of it ready to hook up, but nah its not worth mucking round then.

A mate just finished hooking it all up in his vk calais fuel injected 5 litre, took him 2&1/2 years to get it all hooked up right. Looks boss tho

yep lol he's not a computer guy either so no forum help, he did it all on his own hehe.
