    Default Twin exhaust setup

Well I bought me a new daily yesterday. Picked this VB SLE 253 auto up cheap. It runs on gas only (wouldn't take much to get petrol going through it, but I'd rather gas) so I was thinkin of taking out the fuel tank so I can run twin pipes....one up each side.

Obviously it isn't done very often at all coz there is no room due to the fuel tank....but yeah, is it ok to remove the fuel tank? It isn't a defect or anythin is it?

I don't think you will get a defect, but, this is my humble opinion, twin exhausts, one each side on VB-Vks look like ****. Only the factory V8 look twins look gtreat on VB-VKs

Nice pickup Danny..... In my opinion its going to look **** without the tank, it will be to bare, though you go all out with faking, and add a fake drop tank, and make the exhaust to suit that.

just lose the tank and run twins, they look fine without the tank and space the pipes about a metre apart so they are close to the centre.looks tuff

Thx for the opinions guys. Still not 100% sure if I wanna get rid of the fuel 100%. After I get my gas tank checked and back in and running I'll decide.....but yeah I still like the idea of a twin exhaust.

What about twin sidepipes? Would that look alrite on a vb-vk? Cos I want a full twin exhaust on my VK as well but also want to keep the fuel tank so I was thinkin of sidepipes, you know the ones that run along the side of the vehicle?

Might end up being a track car, who knows.... But still, do ya reckon it would look good??? Either just dumping out near the rear tyres, or have the pipe going along the outside of the car (like on those old corvettes) and then dumping out near the rear tyres?
