yeah i know there is another thread started by me here now, BUT
i really need some advice with this engine. i thought i had it all sorted out but its gone back to no good again.
when i start the car, everything is fine, it runs ok (a bit sluggish but it could just be cold) and then when i get further down the road, maybe a few mins, usually in the 70km/hr to 100km/hr speeds, after sitting on that speed for a min, the car loses all engine power and starts to die.
i cant do anything at all to keep it going and luckily enough the places it usually happens i can pull over and the only thing that will get it going again is to restart it and rev the engine a bit. when it dies and when its first started again, it almost sounds a bit subaru like, im not sure if that means its not running on all cylinders or not..
it doesnt happen all the time, but most mornings and when the car has been sitting round for a while it will happen..
car is VK EFI 202
can anyone suggest something??

hrmmm duno mate but u can try give ur car to auto electrians to follow up on da ecu and make sure evryfins running ok
Fuel system and your tachometric relay first to guesses. maybe fuel pump dying faulty regulator, blockage. Next on my listed would be spark timing. check coil clean terminals on coil (beleive me had that one happen) check yopur dissy timing and stuff. Next your AAV valve could be faulty. Another thing is ecu try a different one maybe

its just strange coz it doesnt happen every time i drive the car, and if i have driven it in past couple of hours then it wont do it either, its usually first thing in the morning or in the evening when the car has been sitting at work for ages and once its stopped once or twice, further down the road it will be fine and runs as fantastic as it normally does
check any thing and everything
spark plugs chew out on them bad ,leads
clean scrape inside cap points etc
also the throttle body on them really clog up ,,really bad
so take it off its bit of a job and give it a clean out also the egr valve too
that silver 1/2 inch crappy thing convulted exhaust tube they break also on lhs
just tested the AFM and AAV and they were both alright, will test the simple things like that too, but i replaced all that after it stopped dead on me the first time months ago.
still, you never know
also check TPSwicth
