Just purchased a VB 79'

Hi Guys , New to the place and LOVE commodores . I just purchased a 79' VB with a 202 and auto . It's a project car i've wanted for awhile . I have a black 304 and auto to slot in it so far and a list a mile long of things to do to it . Seeya's around the forum .

I'll be picking up the VB this sunday . I paid $450 for it and has no rust and no dents . needs a tidy up inside tho.

mate that is great! there like no dents and the paint looks good. The only ugly thing are the mags, my VC had a set of those on it and they really dont look very good IMO.

But other than that its fantastic! And the interior wont take long to clean up anyway, lots of little things.

Yeah the paint is a little crappy on the roof from to much of this . I'm hoping to paint it in the VZ Fusion paint and put VT international mags on it .

Had a play around with the SL/E wheels the other day . slapped some paint on them and this is how they come up . I think they look pretty good for an old wheel .

Picked up the engine today for the VB . Correction on the ci as it is a 308 not 304 as i stated earlier ...... will still make a great engine with a few go fast bits .

Bit of an update .... Ordered my crow cam today as well as a rebuild kit , crow cam valve springs , manley hardened pushrods , crane cam anti pump lifters , Double row timing chain and crane cam collets . going to hone the block tomorrow YAYYY!!!!!!.

Bit of an update on my VB . I have it stripped down to a bare shell at the moment and have been talking to a panel beater about colors and what i want done with the body . We have come up with the color of the new dare i say it Falcon green and will be looking out for the red interior . Will be taking the shell to get the engine bay sand blasted just after easter . Looking forward to it .

Bit of an update . I have nearly completed my rebuild of the motor . Just needs the bolt on stuff now .......

Have also fitted a 2000 to 4800prm crow cam .
