    Default Wagon Diff

are the wagon diffs different from sedans?

i would like to swap for a disc rear end, so does that mean i have to find one out of a wagon, no matter whether its a VK/L or even VN?

A wagon diff don't fit a sedan. They have very different shock mounting points. The wagon diffs have there shock mounts on an angle.

What about finding a normal VL wags diff, then using the brakes from a VN diff or sumfin.I'm sure they'd fit ok as both are borg warners.....but yeah not 100% sure. I'm in the same boat with my VK wags.

A mate has a VL Berlina and it has disk rear end. And we picked up a VK 2day which has had pretty much a whole VL transferred into it (motor, trans, interiour, diff) and that has disks as well.

yeah, i dont have much knowledge at all when it comes to diffs. id just like to see an LSD and discs up the rear end. just figured it would be easier to do a straight swap, but maybe your right Danny, might need to do some mix and matching

Only if it was ticked on the option list. Although here at home, i have a 10 bolt Sals 3.08:1 LSD out of a wagon.

Swapping centres will work. As drum to disc, that works as well. But remember, the axles need to have the right seal or it will leak.

Some were 15/16 some are 1 inch master cylinders. Major difference is the brake booster, get a 4 wheel disc brake jobbie
