253 into VK
Hi all, Im putting a 253 into my VK and I cant get the engine mounts to line up.
Ive allready had to change the sump and it still isnt going far enough back.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
originally had a black 6 in it but that died so im putting the 253 red in it cause it was free

Should bolt straight up . Still the same block as a 308 . Have you changed the gearbox crossmember to the V8 one ?
Wont you have to change the Kframe ?? and are the mounts out of a commodore or early holden ? and do ya have the mounts on the rite side ?

Make sure the engine mounts are for VB-VL V8 Commodores and are on the right way. The engine K frames are the same for 6/V8

A lucky owner of 2 SL/E Commodores, a rare VB SL/E and a 2 tone VC SL/E. Just need a VH SL/E and have the set!
yeah got that all sorted now but the next problem is what driveshaft should i put in it?
I cant get hold of a VK V8 shaft any where
Will a VP shaft fit?
