Hi everyone, not long ago i took off my verajet carby to give it a clean etc. I put it back on today and tried to start my car. When i go to start it the ignition doesn't even come on. I wasn't sure what the problem was then i took off the two wires that connect up to the carby and then the ignition comes on. I'm just wondering what could the problem be? I sprayed the carby with some degreaser and WD-40 and got the air compressor onto it. Is it possible that it is shorting out in the carby? I dont know much about carby's lol so any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Does anyone know what the problem could be? I'm really confused lol.
could be a short some where did you try pulling one off at a time to see if it was the auto choke wire or the fuel shutoff solinoid .you need the fuel solinoid connected to make it run the choke isnt as much of a biggy.
the 2nd wire goes to the anti-diesling solenoid. from memory it blocks the idle passage in the carby to stop the engine when you swith off the ignition
