Thermostat clicking?

I put a new thermostat in my VB 253 a few weeks ago. 2night I heard a clicking noise under my bonnet, and it seems to be around the thermostat area, plus when it clicks, my top radiator hose pulses.

Any ideas? Could it be a faulty thermostat? I only just put a new radiator in yesterday coz the old one was full of holes and it needed to be topped up every stop otherwise she'd run so low that the gas would freeze up lol.
