Default LPG Problem - Need help soon as

    Hey guys,

Ok my car wouldnt start one morning. I turned the key and didnt hear the gas prime as is usually does. (A hissing sound followed by a CLICK from the vaporizer) There was no hissing sound and the click was very faint. I get home that arvo and it primed and started.

Next day, same deal and in the arvo it started. Now today ive got no priming or starting at all, it just turns over even later on in the day. I want to know what the hell is wrong and get some parts cause a mate of mine is a licensed LPG repairer.

Any ideas? Im guessing the vaporizer.

    Thanks, Paiste402

Normally the clicking is a relay, so if u can't hear a click.....it's prolly a stuffed relay.

That's what I'd be looking at first anyways.

It clicks, but its damn quiet and i cant hear the LPG rushing towards the front of the car to start.

ok, the clicking sound is coming from the actual vaporizer itself. Does this mean that its getting a weak signal from the electronics or is the system screwed up?

There is possibly an electrically controlled solenoid valve for your lpg supply that is in the gas line before the vaporiser/convertor. These can become sticky and or not work, perhaps it is only when cold that it plays up. Try removing the connection to it and cleaning it up. When you activate the starter the voltage it gets will be reduced and is possibly one reason as to why it may play up when cold. Try connecting the solenoid direct to the battery next time it plays up, it may just need the extra few volts to get it open and then be freed up. If this fixes it, then it may be worth "priming" the solenoid first before operating the starter.

It will be that black box with the wires coming to and from it that is causing your problem, primer module box or whatever you want to call it. Easiest and cheapest way to rectify it is to raid the wreckers for another 1 as they are an expensive piece of equipment. They are also resin sealed so don't try and split the box in an attempt to fix it, as you will only **** it.
