Can anyone tellme the difference between an 6cyl and an 8cyl pedal box and does it matters if you use a 6cyl pedalbox in a v8.
It comes down to the pivot point in the clutch pedal. V8's had a slightly different pivot point to allow more leverage and travel. Forgot what the differences are but was explained perfectly on another forum similar to this.

FusionX is correct, the Pivot points are different. You can use a six cylinder pedal box with a V8 but you will have an extremely long pedal travel.
What about if converting Holden 6 cyl 5spd, to RB30 5spd? Would ya need to change the pedal box, how different are they? Is there much to the hydraulic clutch setup?

Danny 8, I haven't actually done an RB30 conversion but logic would suggest that the two pedal boxes are different. considering one pulls on a cable and the other pushes on a link rod.
