    202, read his ride Paiste
Celica 5-speed would be the best choice, but unless you can pick up a second hand kit, its about 2 grand for a new conversion unit with the reco box.
All the VK 6cyl manual boxes are weak and you dont have any choice for a strong box.
    Celica/Supra is your best option.

Let me know if you want more info on the prices etc for the Celica as I have the info here.

Im not 100% sure on that, best to ring Dellow or CRS and ask them. You will need your tailshaft shortened by 25mm I think.

Heres the info one them anyway (I posted it on another forum so i thought ill just copy and paste it here)

Price list I got from dellow for the VK.

    Bellhousing + Pivot = 295
    Pilot Bush - 25
    Clutch Disc - 120
    Speedo Calbe - 85
    Rear X-memer - 55
Thrust case & camier (spelling its hand written) - 85
    Tailshaft yoke - 135

A full reco box is 895 with a shifter to suit VK

All prices are without GST. Works out to be about 1900.
    Plus Tailshaft shoterning.

Hope thats give you some idea of doing it that way, remember thats brand new, you should be able to pick up a second hand kit cheaper.

I rekon just find another standard manual....they do take a fair bit of abuse. I've got a M76 5spd (same one as ur VK would have) and my bro has a MC6 4spd.....both behind Holden 6's and both get a beltin'.....and both are still fine.

Thats very cheap, though it would depend on what box it is, I think theres only 3 suitable, ones being the W58, but i cant remember the rest. Most people put the Supras behind a strong 8, but you could fit it behind your 6 and it would be indestructable.

Haha, nah I just like **** stirring you mate.
Certain boxes will, but you still need the conversion bellhousing, x-member etc.

Yeah, I've heard similar stories to, but equal or more saying there **** weak lol. The celica box is going to be the strongest hands down over any commy box, though you may be rgiht with a m76 depending on how you drive.
Celica/supra boxes also feel alot nicer.

I dont give my mc6 a hard time at all, and its still on its way out, it feels like ****, 3rd gear is in a different spot each time, and parts arnt available easily if at all.

No a VN or VL wont fit.
You need one off a 202/3.3L motor.
You can get a brand new High torque started for $120, tryed to find the ebay link for you before but couldnt find it.

Yeah you can, it would be best to ring around and see who has one.
Try the usual auto-parts stores, failing them try an auto-lec, Or if you want a second hand one just go to a wrecker.
