The Diff is wider then a VB-VL diff.
You can use the brakes etc on certain diffs but need the axels shortene. I think its the Borg warners that you can interchange the brakes etc on.

TheVL Turbo diff is the better one being 28 spline over 25 spline.
Not sure how the rear uni will go mating up, but its been done a heap of times.

VL V8 diff is also 28 spline and more common than the VL turbo diff. Plus people don't ask huge amounts for it just cause its from a "VL Turbo" uleh. And they're the same except for diff gears.

Good point, there was an advantage to using the Turbo diff, but I cant remember what it was now. Maybe they share the right uni?

Your thinking of the gears I would say.

VL Turbo diffs have 3.45 gears, VL V8 diffs only have 3.08

    Cheers.

You can use a VN diff (which will be 28 spline axles anyway) but the widest tyre you will be able to run before running into scrubbing issues is a 205. You can get a VL sedan diff and use the internals from the VN diff and shorten each axle as a cheaper alternative, or you can just bite the bullet and find a VLT diff, upto you. If you don't mind being restricted to 205 tyres, then a VN diff is the way to go.
