hey im new here...
got a vk calais EFi straight 6...not a bad car...uncle bought it off a mechanic...the guy couldn't pay for the repairs so he sold the car to the mechanic and yehit had just been sprayed, interior is lookin pretty new aswell...also rebuilt the engine so its like new! only problem is its duel fuel and i think the tuning is stuffed...
its blowin white smoke from the ehaust and she hops when i put the foot down...i thinks safe to say its not the piston rings...iv takin it to a couple of mechanics and they cant seem to see whats wrong...it runs fine on gas...
anybody got any ideas it would be much appreciated???
Cheers

My parents had a similar problem with their car, although theirs is a VT commodore. They resolved it by running an injector cleaning solution through the fuel tank. If that doesn't fix it, you may need to take it to the mechanic for a proper injector clean.
The only other thing it may be is that they have tuned the car specifically to run off gas. Because LPG and petrol have very different octane ratings, they need to tune the car somewhere in-between for them to run effectively off both types of fuel. If you think the tuning may be the problem, I'd be inclined to take it to a LPG gas fitter, as many mechanics have limited experience working with cars running on LPG.
i had similar problem check the fuse for fuel pump in the tank
