Default Vt Starter on old 308

Well as the title says, I need a new starter motor for my Vh and ive been told i can use a VT 5lt starter as there better,
but he said some thing about the bolts being diffrent sizes.

Does this cause a problem? is it a straight bolt in with the right bolts?

I thought the blocks were all the same.....the VT is a hi torque starter so it is a better starter. Pretty sure it will fit.

i would go the VT, not as old and would last alot longer than the VN or so. Also high torque means spins faster and better starts.

VN isn't the same as VT, VT is a gear reduction starter, you will need the bolts to suit, everything else is plug and play.

vn and vt do not have the same engine, the vt runs roller cam, roller lifters, is clearanced for stroker, uses a maf sensor in the intake, uses different style exhaust manifolds all in comparison to the vn.

It is called taking a product and refining and improving it over time. The same could be said for an I6 from an EB compared to an AU...

So that is why the VT uses a different starter motor, more improved and refined compared to a VN.

    Simple.
