Steering wheel

Hey guys....

I got me a 84 VK Calais, she looks pretty sweet for her age.

I bought a steering wheel and boss kit to change the standard steering wheel, but am having a little trouble getting the standard one off.

Can anyone guide me through the process?

Buy a steering wheel puller, its the easiest and safest way.

You can try thumping it with the palms of your hands, but you risk hurting yourself and doing damage to the shaft and column bearing.

Didn't know there was such a thing as a steering wheel puller....

I can move my steering column out about an inch.....the previous owner tried removing the stock wheel by wacking it...he broke the pin and popped the bearings out lol. Got a new column to go in tho....can't wait to change it over coz it ****es ya off sometimes.
