Default how to install extractors into a 179

hi guys please let me know how to install my extractors to a holden 6. what i should look out for before i start doing it myself and srew it up! and are the stock exhaust manifolds welded into the exhaust pipe? the guy i bought the extractors off told me that the extractor should just slip into the exhaust pipe and no welding needed? i need to know what i need to remove to fit the extractos like the cab mani fold etc. cheers

You need to remove the carby manifold, you can leave the carby attached when removing. The stock exhaust headers will be bolter right under them using a flange. Unbolt remove. Yoju will have to cut your pipe, which will depend on where your extractors end up. BUT make sure the pipe is going to be a snug fit onto the exhaust pipe first. If its a snug fit, then use some exhaust clamps and exhaust putty.
Its not the simplest job especially if its not a ssnug fit. Either expect have a way of getting the car to a professional if you choose to do it your self, incase you get it all apart and its not a snug fit... or leave if for a professional.
