As mentioned above, how hard is it to remove springs from the front struts of a V8 VK Calais?

I was taking the springs out of the cars at U-Pull-It last week, but wasn't paying much attention to the potential damage I was doing....it was a wrecker yard for goodness sake!

Diagrams/Pics would be good, I'm gonna have a crack this weekend.
