I have just got hold of a VC with a EFI 202 (VK) in,
It has the original auto and we want to put a manual in,
Im concerned about the clutch pedal part of the equation the rest is straight forward,
Is this simple to do?
Has anyone else done it?
Tips?
Just get a manual pedal box. The pedal box for the auto is just the brake pedal, and for the manual it's the brake and clutch pedal. Drop the steering column down, and there's a few bolts holding it in...also gotta undo the gear off the pedals for the brakes tho. Can't help ya out much more then that coz out of the 3 manual conversion we've done, I left that part to my bro.
Let me know how ya go with it. Our old EFI 4spd setup would always cut out at 5700rpm...never really knew why. I'm sure it was sumfin to do with the EFI....or possibly fuel starvation, but not sure.
